About Scoreclever
A small team writing simple, exam-ready current affairs for Banking, SSC, Railways & Defence exam aspirants. Online since 2023.
Why We Started
Most current affairs sources online are way too long. A student preparing for Banking, SSC, Railways or Defence exams has to read hundreds of pages every month, and most of it never shows up in the actual exam.
We started Scoreclever because we felt this was unfair. Aspirants don't have unlimited time. They have a job to prepare for. So we decided to do the heavy reading ourselves and give back only what is useful for the exam. That's it. No fluff, no padding, no paywall.
What We Do Daily
Every working day, our team sits down and reads through five well-known Indian news sources:
- The Hindu
- PIB
- The New Indian Express
- Live Mint
- Business Standard
We don't copy paste from any of these. We use them only to find out what happened in the country and the world. After that, we go further. We check the actual government circulars, RBI press releases and ministry websites. We add some related static GK that bank and SSC examiners love to ask. And then we write the article in our own simple words.
The end result is a piece you can finish in a few minutes instead of an hour. Same coverage, much less reading.
Who Writes This
Behind every article on this site is a small team of full time current affairs writers. They have prepared for these exams in the past, but they are not aspirants anymore. This is their full time job, and they have been doing it with us for years.
We mention this for a reason. Most current affairs websites hire aspirants as part time writers. The moment those writers clear an exam, they leave, and a new person has to be trained from scratch. Quality drops every few months. With our team that does not happen. The same people write for you today, next month, and a year from now. The depth and the style stay the same.
Here is the rough flow we follow each day:
We go through all five sources first thing in the morning and pick out topics that look exam relevant.
For each picked topic, we look up the background, the related schemes or laws, and any static GK that connects to it.
We write the article from scratch in plain English, short and easy to remember.
Another team member rechecks the facts, fixes any small mistakes, and then we hit publish.
A Few Promises
We cross check facts from more than one source before posting. If we ever slip up, we fix it.
You will always find a fresh update here on weekdays. No long gaps, no random breaks.
The website, the daily PDFs, the monthly PDFs, all of it is free. No login, no signup, no paywall later on.
We don't try to be a general news site. Everything here is shaped around what exams actually ask.
That's pretty much it
