The central government has included 6 strategically located border villages in the Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) into the second phase of the Vibrant Villages Programme (VVP). The initiative aims to accelerate development and improve living conditions in remote frontier regions. The villages designated under the VVP-II include Bobiya, Kadyala, Gajnal, Karol Krishna, Rathua, and Gujjar Chak.
