Rajeshwari Kumari, a former Indian trap shooter, has been elected as a member of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) Athletes Commission to represent the South Asia region for the 2026-2030 term.
She is the second Indian to serve on the commission after Shiva Keshavan, who is currently the Vice-Chairman.
The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has signed an MoU with the Korean Sport and Olympic Committee (KSOC) to bolster bilateral cooperation in the sports sector.

The World Yogasana Championship 2026 was held at the EKA Arena in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The championship was organized by World Yogasana, Yogasana Bharat, and the Indian Olympic Association (IOA). The official mascot of the event was ‘Veer the Lion’.
India dominated the medal tally by securing 114 medals (102 gold, 9 silver, and 3 bronze) with a 122-member contingent. Abhay Burman secured the first gold medal for India. Japan ranked second with 3 gold medals, followed by Argentina in the third position.
Raja Randhir Singh, a renowned Indian shooter and five-time Olympian, passed away at the age of 79.
He was honoured with the Arjuna Award in 1979 by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS) for his contributions to shooting sports.
The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has appointed Rohit Rajpal, a former Davis Cup captain, as the Chef de Mission for the 23rd Commonwealth Games (2026 CWG), to be held in Glasgow, Scotland.
Additionally, Ravi Bengani has been appointed as the Deputy Chef de Mission, while Vandana Rao and Rahul Swami have been designated as the general team managers for the Indian contingent.
