Under the 2026 BRICS Chairship of India, the 12th BRICS Environment Ministers Meeting was held in New Delhi, chaired by Union Minister Bhupender Yadav.

The project funding is shared between the state government, the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare (MoA&FW), and the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER), with MDoNER contributing 50% of the budget.
The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has signed an MoU with the Telecommunications Standards Development Society, India (TSDSI) to enhance the contribution of India to global telecom standards and accelerate the Bharat 6G Mission.
The agreement was signed in New Delhi during the 9th TSDSI Technical Deep Dive (TTDD) 2026 in the presence of Union Minister Jyotiraditya M Scindia.
