The 8th Youth Co:Lab National Innovation Challenge 2026 was hosted at the Technology Hub (T-Hub) in Hyderabad. The challenge was organised by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) India in partnership with the Citi Foundation and the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), and implemented by the T-Hub Foundation.
The winners, NavaPrayoga Labs LLP (Grassip) from Hyderabad, UnBubble from Gurugram (Haryana), and Ecorenowa Solutions Pvt Ltd from Bengaluru were awarded a seed grant of Rs 3.5 lakh each.
The Himachal Pradesh government has signed an MoU with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to promote climate-resilient development, environmental sustainability, biodiversity conservation, and inclusive growth in the state.
Additionally, CM Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has launched the ‘Safai Mitra Scheme’ to empower informal waste management workers.
The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) and the National Biodiversity Authority (NBA) have launched a 5 year initiative titled “Strengthening Institutional Capacities for Securing Biodiversity Conservation Commitments”.
The project is a joint collaboration between the Government of India (GoI), Global Environment Facility (GEF), and UN Development Programme (UNDP). The initiative is supported by a $4.88 million grant for the 2025–2030 period and targets two landscapes: the Sathyamangalam landscape in Tamil Nadu and the Garo Hills in Meghalaya.
The Sathyamangalam landscape, situated at the confluence of the Western and Eastern Ghats, includes the Mudumalai Tiger Reserve and Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve. In Meghalaya, the project covers the Nokrek Biosphere Reserve, Balpakram National Park, and Siju Wildlife Sanctuary within the Garo Hills.
