President Droupadi Murmu has released a ₹200 commemorative coin at Lok Bhavan in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

The coin was issued to mark the 200th birth anniversary of Mata Sahib Hasi Devi Ji, the fifth spiritual head of Shadani Darbar, a prominent Sindhi religious institution.

The Permanent Delegation of India to the UNESCO has added 3 new Indian sites to the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List.

The newly included locations are the Karst-mud-volcano Complex of Baratang and the Andaman Subduction Volcanoes (situated in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands), along with the Sirpur Cultural and Archaeological Landscape (Chhattisgarh). With these additions, the total number of Indian entries on the tentative list has increased to 81, comprising 59 Cultural, 3 Mixed, and 19 Natural sites.

The Chhattisgarh government has signed an MoU with the Singapore-based Institute of Technical Education Services (ITE) to strengthen technical and vocational education and enhance skill development in the state.

The Chhattisgarh Cabinet has approved the ‘Chief Minister’s Startup and New-Age Industry Preparedness through Up-skilling of New Generation Youth (NIPUN) Mission’ to facilitate employment, skill development, and innovation.

The mission is scheduled for implementation over 5 years with a total financial outlay of ₹500 crore.

Chhattisgarh has secured the first position in the country in the third phase of the “Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari” (JSJB 3.0) initiative, a community-driven water conservation programme under the “Catch the Rain” campaign of the Ministry of Jal Shakti.

The state successfully completed 77,719 water conservation structures out of 79,775 registered units. It is to be noted that the “5 Per Cent Model” implemented in the Koriya district promotes the voluntary allocation of 5% of agricultural land for the development of groundwater recharge infrastructure through coordinated local participation.

The Chhattisgarh government has signed MoUs with the Bhaskaracharya National Institute for Space Applications and Geo-informatics (BISAG-N), and the National Logistics Data Services Limited (NLDSL) to enhance the utilization of geospatial technology and integrated logistics data under the PM GatiShakti framework.

The Digital Bharat Nidhi (DBN) under the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has signed an agreement with the Chhattisgarh government, Chhattisgarh State BharatNet Infrastructure Ltd (CSBIL), BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd), and Chhattisgarh Infotech Promotion Society (CHiPS) to implement the 'Amended BharatNet Program' in Chhattisgarh.

A financial support of Rs 3,942 crore has been approved for the rollout of the program in the state.

The Chhattisgarh government has launched the ‘Decentralised Women Empowerment on Energy and Policy for Transformative Inclusion (DWEEPTI) Yojana’.

It is India’s first women-led distributed Renewable Energy (RE) policy, designed to empower rural Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to function as solar entrepreneurs. With technical support from Tata, 35 women from SHGs have been trained in rooftop solar installation, forming the first cohort of ‘Solar Didis’.

Teejan Bai, a legendary Pandavani folk singer, passed away at the age of 70. She was one of the first women to perform Pandavani in the Kapalik style.

She was a recipient of the Padma Shri in 1988, Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 1995, Padma Bhushan in 2003, Fukuoka Prize in 2018, and Padma Vibhushan in 2019.

The Chhattisgarh government has launched the ‘Adarsh Shahar Samriddhi Yojana’ with a budgetary allocation of ₹200 crore for the 2026–27 period to develop modern civic infrastructure in emerging towns and urban centres.

The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution (MoCAF&PD) has expanded procurement operations under the PM Annadata Aay Sanrakshan Abhiyan (PM-AASHA) in Chhattisgarh and launched the first structured pulse procurement under the Atmanirbhar Pulses Mission (APM) in Bihar.

The procurement drive is led by the National Cooperative Consumers’ Federation of India Ltd (NCCF) and the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Ltd (NAFED). In Bihar, the NCCF has started the first organized procurement of masoor (lentil) under the APM. In Chhattisgarh, the process includes digitized farmer registration through the Electronic-Samyukti (E-Samyukti) portal and awareness campaigns.
