25 June 2026 AGREEMENTS

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has signed a $10 million financing package with Schoolnet India Ltd (SIL) to improve learning outcomes in government schools across India.

The project aims to scale up digital learning infrastructure in 30,000 government schools, directly benefiting 45 million students. Under the initiative, computer laboratories will be installed in at least 1,000 government schools.

Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), the owner of the Bharat Benz brand, has signed an MoU with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) to support the vehicle replacement initiative of the Government of India.

The scheme focuses on the replacement of old trucks and buses in the Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) to encourage fleet modernisation. Under the agreement, the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) will provide an 8% discount on the ex-showroom price of eligible trucks and buses purchased under the scheme.

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has signed an MoU with the National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER) to establish the "NHAI Centre for Economics of Transportation, Mobility and Logistics".

The facility will serve as the first permanent and independent research centre of India dedicated specifically to the economics of transportation, mobility, and logistics.

The Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM) Pune has signed an MoU with the Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Sciences (ARIES) in Nainital to conduct collaborative research on climate change.

Under this MoU, a Climate Observation Station will be established at ARIES, Devasthal, as a part of the Bharat Climate Observation Network (BCON).

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd and SML Mahindra have signed an MoU with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) to participate in the government’s fleet modernisation initiative.

The programme aims to replace aging commercial vehicles in the Delhi-NCR region to curb air pollution by offering manufacturing discounts. Mahindra joins other manufacturers like Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, and Switch Mobility in this initiative.

20 June 2026 AGREEMENTS

The Government e-Marketplace (GeM) has partnered with the Common Service Centre e-Governance Services India Ltd (CSC-SPV) to expand access to government procurement in rural and underserved regions.

Under this partnership, 50 GeM Suvidha Kendras (GSKs) will be established on a pilot basis through the CSC network. These GSKs will be operational in states including Delhi-NCR, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana, and West Bengal.

Tata Motors has signed an MoU with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways to join the Government of India (GoI) fleet renewal programme, which has an outlay of ₹9,585 crore.

The initiative aims to mitigate pollution by phasing out older commercial vehicles in the Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) and replacing them with cleaner alternatives.

The IIT Hyderabad will establish the Centre for Design and Engineering in Nuclear Energy (CODENE), which will be the first Centre of Design Excellence in Nuclear Engineering in India.

The centre is being established under a tripartite MoU signed between IIT, Coastal Engineering and Equipments (India) Pvt Ltd (CEEPL India), and France-based Dassault Systemes SE during the ‘Bharat Innovates 2026’.

US President Donald Trump and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian have signed a 14-point MoU aimed at ending the conflict between the two nations. The interim agreement was finalised electronically during the G7 summit in France.

The agreement mandates an immediate ceasefire, the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, and a 60-day negotiation period for a comprehensive peace settlement. The US and its regional partners have also committed to a $300 billion reconstruction fund to support the economic development of Iran.

India and Japan have adopted the 'Rules of Implementation' for the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) under Article 6.2 of the Paris Agreement.

Announced by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), this initiative establishes the first operational framework for India to trade bilateral carbon credits to facilitate the achievement of global climate goals.

The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has signed an MoU with the Njord - Center for Maritime and Underwater Cultural Heritage of the National Museum of Denmark in Copenhagen to conduct an underwater archaeological project.

The project aims to locate and document the remains of the historic Danish ship ‘Oresund’. It is to be noted that the ‘Oresund’ was the first Danish ship to reach India.

The Digital India BHASHINI Division (DIBD) has signed an MoU with the Government e Marketplace (GeM) to launch the “BHASHINI for Seva/Sanchalan - A BHASHINI Sahayogi Program”.

The initiative aims to strengthen multilingual digital capabilities across the public procurement ecosystem of India by leveraging the BHASHINI Platform.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) has signed an MoU with the IIT Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, to collaborate on the development of future-generation telecommunication technologies.

The partnership aims to accelerate the development, testing, and deployment of indigenous telecommunications technologies to strengthen the digital self-reliance of India.
