This mission aims to democratise access to advanced genomic healthcare. It focuses on developing affordable gene and cell therapies for diseases that currently have limited treatment options. AgriBio 2.0
Building on the success of India’s agricultural biotechnology sector, this mission targets the development of climate-resilient crops using gene-editing technologies. BioX Foundry

A ₹50,000 Crore BioEconomy Growth Fund
A central financial recommendation of the roadmap is the creation of a BioEconomy Growth Fund of ₹50,000 crore for the 2026-2035 period. This fund will be carved out from the existing ₹1 lakh crore Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) Framework.
The RDI Scheme was launched on November 3, 2025, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
